PhD Candidate in City and Regional Planning, Cornell University
I am an architect and spatial planner whose research examines how urban form shapes residential energy dynamics in African cities. Using mixed methods approaches (household surveys, spatial analysis, and interviews), I study residential electricity consumption in rapidly growing African cities.
My dissertation, Urban Form and Residential Energy Dynamics, investigates sociospatial patterns of the energy trilemma in Accra, Ghana, and draws lessons for energy security, equitable access, and environmental sustainability.
Research Agenda
- Examine how urban form and infrastructure systems shape household energy outcomes.
- Produce policy-relevant evidence for sustainable and equitable urban transitions in African cities.
- Combine spatial analysis, fieldwork, and planning theory in comparative urban research.
